STL Design Studios
The project is the design of a kitchen within a newly built home on five acres of land in eastern Tennessee. The clients are a family of six who they will construct their new house on land that has belonged to the family for generations. The design achieves an affordable elegance that is inspired by the two most important meal times for the Newton’s. The design is called coffee and wine and it is based on breakfast and dinner. It blends the traditional and modern elements into a space that is warm and homey.

The kitchen would be used as a casual dining area for large groups of people multiple times per month, as well as daily use by the Newton family. The kitchen will serve as the focal point of the home, and should be traditional in its design and highly functional to match the family’s needs. This kitchen includes include spaces for eating, multi-person cooking, homework, and general entertaining, as well as multiple storage ands organization options.
